LAURA FLYNN
Laura Flynn is an author, teacher, and activist. In 1992 she co-founded the Bay Area Haiti Action Committee. She lived in Haiti from 1994-1999 where she served an assistant to then President Jean-Bertrand Aristide and then as the director of international relations for the Aristide Foundation for Democracy in Haiti. She currently lives in Minneapolis where she teaches in the Graduate Creative Writing Program at Hamline University. She writes frequently about Haiti and is the editor of Eyes of the Heart: Seeking a Path for the Poor in the Age of Globalization by Jean- Bertrand Aristide (Common Courage, 2000).
