Leslie Fleming

LESLIE FLEMING

Leslie Fleming has taught Anthropology at Merritt College in Oakland, California since 1990.  As Director of the Merritt Anthropology Field School she led Merritt student delegations to South Africa and to Mexico. She has worked since 1985 to assist human rights efforts in Central America and in Haiti.

Since 2001 she has worked with the Haiti Action Committee, a Bay Area-based network of activists supporting the Haitian people's struggle for democracy since 1991.
